SF6 load break switch installed on the pole is suitable for rated voltage 11/15/24/33kV, rated current 630A, 50/60Hz Distribution network breaking. The SF6 load break switch interrupter switch automatically isolates the faulty sections of the distribution line if the load current or overload current occur in a power system.

RVAC switchgear is designed for outdoor mounting on a concrete pad. Power is fed to and from the switch from underground, through openings in the pad.

SF₆ is very suitable as an insulating gas in switches due to its intrinsic capability to both cool the arc and quickly restore the insulation level after the switching event. Replacing SF₆ with eco-efficient alternatives in a puffer interrupter reduces interruption performance both in the thermal and dielectric phases (see following two sections) due to inferior arc-quenching properties and lower dielectric strength of alternative gases.
